Apologies if this is a dumb question! What I'm trying to do is build a dataset extraction tool for a third party in the organisation, but need to keep any login credentials secure.
We have an Oracle database sat on a box I have to log onto via Remote Desktop. What I want to do is run a simple data extraction by running a workspace on my laptop that connects to said server. I'm not certain this is possible...

I'm not sure about keeping the credentials secure. I think this can be done using a database connection, but not an expert on this.
If you need to log in at another machine via Remote Desktop, I think you need to install FME on that machine to connect to the database.
