We have FME 2020.1 32 bits installed on a Windows 2019 Server, With ArCGIS Desktop 10.6 and ArcGIS Pro 2.5.

With the 2 Oracle Clients 64bits and 32 bits, configured with 64bits before 32bits in the PATH.

It works all fine fine for all users connecting to this server and using FME with the Esri Geodatabase (ArcSDE Geodb) reader/writer.

But suddenly for one user the ArcSDE Geodb) reader/writer does not work anymore. The database client is failing to load. : -(

The error in the workspace is :

Creating reader for format: Esri Geodatabase (ArcSDE Geodb)

...

Opening the Geodatabase reader

An ArcGIS license is already checked out. The product checked out is 'Standard'

Installed ArcGIS version is '10.6'

Could not open the Enterprise Geodatabase. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147155644'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {Cannot connect to database because the database client software failed to load. Be sure the database client software is installed and configured correctly.}

We cannot see what is the différence with this user ?

Did someone got this behaviour with FME ?

Thanks

Seems like the user is likley somehow the issue:

This is specific to FME Server, however, it does relate to the user. Perhaps there is some additional permission which needs to ne set somewhere?
