Question

Given 3 KML files, how could I merge them into a single KML while keeping them in separate folders ?

The source 3 KML's are similar in structure. The desired target KML would have 3 folders as shown below. Any advice or examples how to do it in FME would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @mas,

I think you want to look at this article if you haven't already: https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/221/kml-folders.html it looks like it should be pretty helpful for you. In addition info here in the KML Writer documentation should help too. http://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_ReadersWriters/WKBkml/Feature_Representation.htm

Hi @MattAtSafe. Does it mean that all the folders and sub-folders have to be redefined in the target KML through FME even though they are already defined in the source KML?
