Transform 2D-infrastructure-network in 3D

Hi, I need help …..

I have an infrastructure-network with points and lines/polylines in 2D

and I want to transform it in 3D.

For the points I used the transformer „3DForcer“,

to assign them „Z_value“ to the z-coordinate,

there is no problem.

But to transform the lines (add the Z_value),

I don’t know how ?

Thanks for Your help …..

Hi @chrst

I opened your Workspace and some changes was did.

The transformer PointOnLineOverlayer was used to do the spatial relation between the points and lines, because is necessary to pass the value Z from Points to Lines:

After I used again the transformer 3DForcer for Lines geometry.

Attached the Workspace template ( FMWT ) -points-lines-2dto3d.fmwt

Danke,

Danilo

Hi Danilo,

thanks for Your answer.

Now the single lines of the originally polylines have same z_value.

However, the start and end points of the lines should have the z-values of the corresponding points.

See attached file.

Thanks for Your help.

If the requirement was to transfer z-value from a point to corresponding vertex of the lines, this workflow might help you. points-lines-2dto3d-2.fmwt (FME 2018.1.0.3)
