Hello,

I am trying to make a Shape file from my DWG. I am trying to use only one layer from DWG because that is all I need. Basically I am trying to close all the polygons in that layer, and calculate their area and to write their area in shp. I am not getting a good result and I have no idea what could be the problem.

Also, I was wondering if I can get a result written in form of "P= "number" m2". Now I am getting this from screen shot.

The first thing I'd try is a Snapper before the AreaBuilder.

In which way? I am not sure if I understood You. Thank You in advance!

Try the following:

  • Reader
  • Snapper (to make sure your lines connect properly)
  • AreaBuilder

I don't think you need the LineCloser.

It is not working like that, I have already tried it.
