Currently i am working for BIM and GIS Integration Project. My question is why we use FME Workbench to insert revit model in ArcGIS PRo? and Why we can not use direct Revit model inserting in ArcGIS Pro?

Since ArcGIS Pro 2.3 users are able to read directly Revit files. Here are some links that you will find useful

Hi @engineerchirayu,

Thanks for your question! Some reasons you might want to use FME are if you want to extract parts of your data to simplify the scope of what you are working with, or to simplify geometries further and convert that data to a geodatabase format for use in ArcGIS. Once you've created your workspace, you can reuse this workflow again and again with different data. FME just helps you move your data around between locations, grabbing just what you need and getting it into the format that you need it in in a repeatable way. Others in the Community may be able to highlight some better use cases though.

 

 

That being said, bringing Revit data into ArcGIS directly is definitely an option as highlighted by @davidalvarez.
