FME ArcGIS Data Interop Edition - Licencing article?

Does anyone know if a "how to" article exists to instruct users how to setup and apply an FME Desktop FME ArcGIS Data Interop Edition licence? A description of how to add the licence to FME and then how to enable the licence over in ArcGIS as well as the requirements to ensure the ESRI Data Interoperability extension is licenced? It feels like something that 'should' exist but I can't find it. I've had a client ask for a reference document and I wanted to forward a link... It appears this might be an oversight from the docs and the KC. In Robyn's 2nd paragraph here she references it https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/21547/arcgis-data-interop-vs-fme-ext-for-arcgis.html.

Hi @1spatialdave,

 

 

I polled the team here and I think you are right, no article exists specifically about licensing the FME ArcGIS Data Interop Edition.

 

I guess the keys things that it would reference would be

 

1) Make sure you have FME Desktop and ArcGIS installed on the same machine

 

2) Make sure you have the Esri Data interoperability extension licensed - we would direct people to Esri for this ( I found this document - http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/extensions/data-interoperability/installing-the-data-interoperability-extension.htm)

 

3) License FME Desktop using standard licensing safe.com/desktoplicensing

 

4) Optional - extend FME into ArcGIS http://fme.ly/IntegrationConsole

 

What say you? Would this cover what you/your client are/is looking for?
