Question

Problem to FME to convert a GeoJson to Cesium 3D Tiles

Hello

My name in Alex

I have a question

I am using FME to convert a GeoJson to Cesium 3D Tiles

The conversion seems to be generated successfully. But when I try to show in Cesium, it isn't shown.

I think the reason is in the coordinates, because the coordinates of the source file (GeoJson) are different than the coordinates of the final file (Cesium 3D Tiles).

I choose to keep the GeoJson coordinate system, but it doesn't work

Do you know any solution?

Thanks a million

Hi @castillomoyamig, could you please share your FME Workspace or at least a screenshot of your entire workspace including your Reader/Writer parameters in the Navigation window, as well as the log file from the translation.

Please keep in mind that geojson typically uses a 2d or at best 2.5d coordinate system and 3D tiles uses a full 3D ECEF coordinate system. So you will need to specify a vertical datum; by default the ellipsoid is used. Also keep in mind that geojson typically is for 2d or 2.5d vectors (lines, points, areas) where glTF is for 3D surfaces (meshes). You can convert 2.5D areas to full 3D surfaces with FME using the MeshBuilder or using the FaceReplacer. Hope this helps.

Thanks a million
