Hi, I would like to use a .dgnlib file in the DGNStyler when specifying the 'Cell Library File' but when I do this the translation fails. Does DGNStyler only work with the .cel files for the Cell Libararies? Is there any way to use a .dgnlib instead?

Thanks,

Hi @aquamarine, I'm afraid we might not officially support .dgnlib files, as we've not fully tested this scenario. It would be great, if you could post this as an Idea, to help us understand your use case, and other's votes can help us prioritize the work. Thank you!

Hi @aquamarine,

could you please try renaming your .dgnlib into .cel? I wonder if DGNStyler will be able to access the cell library then. According to https://communities.bentley.com/other/old_site_member_blogs/peer_blogs/b/marc_thomass_blog/posts/101-dgnlib-design-file-libraries .dgnlib and .cel should have identical structure.

You could also try to add the .dgnlib file as a source for DGNStyler. Please select DGNStyler > Cells > Cell Library File > ... > All Files (*) :

Please let us know if this doesn't solve the problem.

Hi @lenaatsafe.

When I tried adding the .dgnlib file as a source for DGN Styler using the 'All Files' method it still did not work. However, renaming the .dgnlib to .cel did work! Thanks!
