changedector match all attributes problem

What does the "Match All Attributes" setting of the Attribute Matching Strategy in the ChangeDetector mean? I have two shapefiles that are exactly the same except that I have changed a value in one of the attributes of one of the shapefiles.

 

 

If I select "Match Selected Attributes" and check the attribute in question, the ChangeDetector does pick up the change.However, when I select "Match All Attributes", none of the features match. Because I'm running this workspace with different feature sources, I want the ChangeDetector to automatically "Match All Attributes".
