You may recall that FME Server 2016+ has integrated a “Failover” mode. As a result, Safe Software has discontinued issuing the previous independent Failover license files in 2016+.
We still frequently receive failover license file requests from both clients and partners. Please be advised that anyone requesting an FME Server failover license via the new server licensing will receive a message stating, “Note: Failover license use is no longer supported with this version of FME Server. For up-to-date details, please contact your account manager, local partner or ." They will automatically receive a 60-day temporary license.
This notification was scheduled to appear Monday, February 11. Please note that this is only for FME Server 2016+ requests. Floating license server and desktop requests will continue to work without issue. If you have any questions, reach out to your Channel Account Manager or .
