Create ECW With Latest Files

I'm trying to build an ECW from OS tiff tiles. I get the Change Only Updates so have several folders with the base data and monthly files with the quarterly changes.

What I'd like to do is use the latest tile from each of the folders, but I'm not sure how! Is it as simple as sorting in date order, so the newer file are laid over the top of the older?

I believe that you can use the Reader Directory and File Pathnames to get the information date from your files.
